Top 5 things I just can't get enough of for Spring

Portland, Oregon had been in full bloom these last few months which has me full of design inspiration! If you are anything like me, pulling inspiration from our surrounding is an everyday affair. Sometimes it's even hard to focus when the weather is beautiful and the buds open up to reveal their beautiful color. Here are five things I just can't get enough of this spring season!

5. Shades of Pink

It is no surprise it's the season of pinks! With cherry blossoms blooming from Portland, Oregon to Kyoto, Japan, it's easy to find the inspiration in their beauty.

4. Graphic Tiles

The world around us is full of graphic inspiration old and new. When I think back to my travels, Morocco is the first place that comes to mind when I think of beautiful graphic tile work. I am so thrilled with so many great graphic tiles showing up on the design scene!

3. Patio Weather

I love a good patio! I enjoy sitting out and watching the city buzz all around me. Now that Portland is warming up, I am living by the new mantra "Shake of the cold of winter, throw on the shades and head outside!"

2. "Art but not Art" Wall Sculptures

Art doesn't have to be confined by four sides and a frame. Last spring, I was snorkeling The Great Barrier Reef just off the coast in Caines, Australia which has inspired me to think outside of the box this spring while designing.

1. Bringing Nature Inside

Since spring is my current inspiration, hands down, the number one spot on this top five list goes to bringing nature inside. Weather it's a whimsical bird fabric or a more classic floral print, pillows are a simple way to bring nature in for those of us who can't handle the allergies that come with the season. If you are like me and the outdoors are no problem on the sinuses, fresh florals, plants, and succulents are my favorite and most literal way of bringing nature inside.
